Furry Life Online ToS Update
So in my previous journal I had made mention of some troubling wording in the ToS of FLO. I contacted the site runner on their discord about it and the reaction folks were having to the wording, and they have now amended it to the following:
11. By submitting User Content to the Site, you automatically grant FurryLife Online the non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use, host, store, reproduce, publish, display, perform, distribute, transmit, modify, and adapt that Content. These permissions do not transfer the rights of your User Content or allow us to create any deviations of that content outside of the aforementioned purposes. You further grant FurryLife Online the right, but not the obligation, to pursue at law any person or entity that violates your or Furry Life Online's rights in the User Content by a breach of these Terms of Service.
Sounds a lot better to me at least? I mean obviously they need the right to host the content if we want them to host the content, in my mind at least it was the terms "perpetual" and "irrevocable" that were pretty iffy.
Thoughts?

The second part of granting "FurryLife Online the right, but not the obligation" and so on also includes the very person who created their own user content as well that could be "pursue at law" by FLO. Just make sure the sword cuts both ways if FLO violates their own ToS as well.

FurryLife Online reserves the right, at its own cost, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will fully cooperate with FurryLife Online in asserting any available defense.
