It's half and half for me on "fans of the original think this censorship" while the other half is more "Japanese devs did this at least to shut the SJWs up about her design being problematic" and whatnot. Do I hate it? No. However, most people get their information from fan art more than original art. Even I look at Tifa fan art and go "yea, her shirt never showed off cleavage whatsoever in any FF official art, games and movie". Only time she showed cleavage was either that dress she wore to sneak into Don Corneo's mansion or her Tour Guide outfit during the Nibelheim incident with Sephiroth.

But, sure, most (if not a lot) fan art has her shirt as a "low neck". But, that doesn't bother me. I just know that Tifa never showed off cleavage. Her shirt just reinforced that she does have big tits.
