I can empathize on how you feel. I was in bed for two months when my back blew out earlier this year.

I've kept away from the fandom for the most part, and when i peak in every now and then.......whew....what a mess.
Makes me remember what it was, how people were, and I wish we could go back to that.

I can empathize with you fully. My back injury turned into arthritis so now I have my good days and not so good days and I just have to muscle through them. Then i have my the just shoot me all ready days.

same here I get that gout occasionally & it goes right to my old injuries I did the last 40+ years!

I can sympathize, my back is killing me with all the lifting and moving into the new house and all but it’s tolerable, not like what you must be dealing with.

I never really got along too well with the younger crowd because I was forced to grow up quickly, so I was always older in my head. I enjoy the company and conversations I have with mature people much more than the younguns. To be fair, they're not all dumb (just a lot of them) lol. But for my self, I liked it better when we were allowed to just show up on someone's door step and we were invited in for some sweet tea in the summer, or a hot coffee in the winter. None of this cellphone, facebook, twitter, I have to check my schedule to squeeze you in between 12-noon and 1-PM.

I wish I lived closer to you. God's honest truth, I'd be there all the time. And I know that you two would open your door and invite me in with a hug and honest to goodness love and hospitality. Because that's how you guys are. And you best believe that I'd invite you to my place also! The food is pretty lousy, and you'll probably get food poison, and we'd probably end up having to order something from a place called Happy Lucky Panda Garden Wok Kitchen lol. But you get the idea lol. You're good people, Zip. And I'd be thrilled to be able to hang out with a few friends like your selves <3

Will you get any injections for the arthritis? A guy at a place I used to work at used cortisone injections to manage the pain in his hands.

I feel your pain. My fingers are getting painful and stiff from the beginnings of RA, and I use my hands for so many things, I worry about losing my dexterity.
