A lot has been said about all of the movie and TV show remakes these, but I have what may be an odd take. Instead of remaking good movies (and usually ending up with worse ones), they should be remaking bad movies. Specifically, they should be remaking movies with interesting concepts but bad execution.

For example, remake Monkeybone. Yes, you read that right. Money-gotdang-bone. It was a terrible movie, but somewhere deep in that awful mess is a nugget of something much, much better, a surreal psychological horror movie about an artist trapped in his own subconscious while an avatar of his id takes over his life.
