*shrugs* Of course the art is legal, it is just that payment processors seem to be skittish.

You can run into jurisdictions where human/furry pairings could be considered bestiality due to either how a law is worded¹ or some precedent².


1: e.g. The exact prohibition being "depicting sex between a human and a non-human animal." Note that this could also catch all sorts of things like human/elf or human/orc, (OTOH, it could make for an interesting court case over whether or not Homo and Pan are synonymous).

2: e.g. The comic Omaha the Cat Dancer being ruled not pornographic as it depicts "animals performing animal acts." Which would mean that furry/furry sex, no matter how extreme, is no more pornographic than a nature documentary but human/furry is legally bestiality.

In the former case, the issue is a law that defines things based on one partner not being human. That the partner is sapient and humanoid in bodyform¹ is irrelevant. How important this kind of exact wording is depends on how the legal system in question stands on the common law/civil code spectrum. A strongly common law based system can have a judge saying "it clearly intends dumb animals, Lois Lane doing a Kryptonian doesn't count but her doing a Denubian slime beast does," while a civil code based one could rule the other way as "Superman is not human while the slime beast is a plant and thus not a 'non-human animal'".

In the latter case the definition is that the creature is an animal first, human like in shape second. So, as far as the law is concerned, they are human-like animals.
