We actually spoke about a month ago before he was going in for his transplant.
If I had some tips on how to deal with chemotherapy. Talking a bit about his upcoming procedure... trying to keep his confidence and mood up.

One of the last things I told him is that I trusted in him recovering safely.

Take care of yourself, ok?

I will I just wasn't expecting to heard about this today. I knew he was going into surgery for the transplant, and I talked to him about it before he did, and I wished him luck. I just... didn't think he would pass on. I guess I just wanted to believe he'd be alright in the end.

So did I...
I was trying to impress on him to to not worry too much and trust in the professionals he was going to be treated by.

Then silence... And today this news.

It's a sad day for many. It wasn't the news I expected to hear today either. News I never wanted to hear. Anyways, get someone to give you a big hug for me. I think we could all use one today.

I hadn't spoken to him in forever but I always liked him. Always.

Now I'll never be able to talk to him, so I did something nice to a couple of my roomies. Just because you never know.

*nods* Yeah, I talked to him before he was going to the hospital. He was a great guy.

What the hell! I didn't even realize anything was wrong! I've been out of the loop for so long.

That's why I wanted to make this journal, in case folks hadn't heard. He was dealing with this rare thing for a while, but I didn't want to think he wouldn't be fine getting the transplant he was going in for. *hugs*

Aye, I remember him well. I met him back on BigFurs when I was first getting into IRC, and kept on through SL and such. I'd heard the news yesterday and was floored by it. Hopefully he'll have some peace.

Thanks Mika. It means a lot. And yes, I'm fine. I'm just surprised and saddened by the situation. I just didn't want to believe this was an outcome that could happen.

I'm in utter shock. I'm only now learning about this. Cetas and I spoke a fair bit through notes and messengers over the years and he was only a little older than me, so we were pretty good friends as far as certain similar interests were concerned (macro, video games, and so on). I don't know why it didn't occur to me sooner about what became of him following his last journal from May, but I feel like such a damn fool for not realizing why I hadn't heard from since then. We never even got to have a chat on Discord. I'm going to miss talking with him.

I'm sorry you are only now finding out about this. He was a great person and I will always remember him as much. At least now you know.
