I also dicovered much of our clothes were destroyed.

The GoFundMe is closed. I found out we couldn't withdraw the money at all. Neither of us have had a bank account in about 8 years.
It will cost us about 500 to get one.
We still have an active PayPal account. Note me if you were wanting to donate.

What? Who ever told you it would cost $500 to open a bank account is lying to you.
Bank accounts are either free or where you have to pay a small monthly fee of $5-15

When I last had a bank account it gpt overdrafted and then fee'd and fee'd until I owed about 300. I asked them to freeze the account so I could pay it off. They agreed so long as no more money was taken out.
Then they hit it with a monthly maintenance fee and until I can gather the 300 plus the fees plus interest... Which sadly we havent been able to save up.. I can never open another bank or credit union account.

Also.. To start a new account you have to have a $50 deposit and keep that much in there. At least with thr banking companies here.
