Hey peeps!
I'm currently working on my next Azure Wheel Chronicles, which involves some of my military characters.
Neither myself nor anyone in my circle of friends are experts on the topic of firearms, so I need someone with knowledge on the subject to look at the sketch for the current page I'm working on to look at my sketch for the page and let me know if I'm drawing it correctly in terms of proper safety.
If you know about the subject, comment below and I'll pick a couple of people who seem to be knowledgeable to look over the sketch and critique. :)
EDIT: I got some great responses and it looks like I got it right! Thanks for all those who commented! :)

FA+

1. Remove magazine
2. Remove chambered round (pull slide back for most)
3. Lock slide back
When handling it, even made safe like this, you'd never put a finger near the trigger or point the business end at anyone, so passing a gun to someone else would be done with the barrel pointed down and handed in such a way they can grab it without covering the muzzle or needing to grab the trigger area. So basically top first or bottom first.
Looks like I got it right!
And for an untrained person... just never pick one up because you're likely to hurt yourself more than anyone else. :D
Finger off trigger.
Weapon on safety.
Remove the magazine
Work the action to eject any chambered round.
With the action locked, makle sure the person you hand the weapon to can see the empty chamber
They will report "Weapon safe!"
