This trailer for CATS has just been unleashed on the world.
It's terrifying and I'm guessing the general opinion on it will be "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?"

The costumes are reworks of the stage costumes, and they saved a lot of money by filming in green-screen and did the sets in CGI. It's not like there is some other existing canon out there for them to be faithful to.
