Hey everybody! I've been playing Final Fantasy 14 for a bit now, just over about a couple months, and I've fallen in love with the game! If anyone here plays or would like to play, feel free to hit me up! I play a Scholar (which is a healer for those of you unfamiliar) and a Summoner (which is a closely tied DPS class to Scholar). I'm on the Aether data center on the world Adamantoise~

Now, for those of you who don't play and may like to, try iiiiiiiit! It's free to start and will let you play up to your first level 30 character (You can go up to level 80 in the game currently) AND they don't lock you in any one class, so you can level that first class, maybe decide, "eh, I'm not sold on it" and try out a totally different class before you've bought anything. If/when you finally decide you like it, buy the game and you can pick up where it cut you off.

I will warn ya, if you're looking to get into it and aren't sure, there's three big things you oughta know. It's a HUGE time soak, first off. It takes a long time to progress through story content (cause there's a BUTTLOAD of it), and skipping the Main Story Quests isn't an option unless you pay for it (not that I would recommend that anyway, you'd be missing out). Secondly, the game is almost ENTIRELY story-oriented. Many of the dungeons and the like you can blitz if you just wanna murder stuff, but all the main and a lot of the side quests are very dialogue heavy. If you like reading books or enjoy a good story, this is the game for you~ It gets more bearable for those who don't like reading after the base game, the cutscenes become voice acted and things heat up a bit, there's less fluff. Lastly, it is a subscription game. You play for free up to level 30, and when you buy the game they give you free play days (I've played almost two months free) but after that you have to cough up money every month or two to keep playing. Personally, I love the game and think it's worth it, but some people may not want to pay for their game every couple months, which is understandable.
