Gonna get a PSP tomorrow
16 years ago
I've decided to get a PSP tomorrow, along with a copy of the new Dissidia Final Fantasy game. I thought I should try it out since everyone is saying good things about them. I'll most likely get a silver one, being one of my favourite colours.
I was wondering what other games would y'all recommend if you got a PSP? Im already planning to get Crisis core tomorrow, and perhaps the GTA games, but unsure what else I should look out for. Any suggestions would be helpful :3

FA+

also, I'd recomend reading Mage's opinion on Dissidia...

It plays most well-known games like Mario64 and Zelda OOT with decent speed. (there is only lag when you have a lot of details on screen) There is sound, but it's best turned off since it creates a big slow-down if turned on! ^^;
Other games will work too, but with some minor or huge graphical errors. (Rayman2 for example) and others will crash at some point (Paper Mario 64, when you enter peach's bedroom).
Other emulators (Like: NES, SNES, GBA and PS1 Eboot files) work perfectly from what I've tested! ^_^
You can also play PC adventure games on your PSP using ScummVM!
A whole new world opens with emulators! X3
Well... this is just a personal list offcourse, but here goes! X3
1. Daxter PSP.
2. Asterix and Obelix XXL2
3. Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops.
4. Kao Challengers.
5. Prince of Persia Rival Swords.
6. Splintercell Essentials.
7. Tombraider Legend.
8. Tombraider Anniversary.
9. Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core.
10. Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories.
And interesting games that still have to come out. X3
1. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
2. Jak and Daxter: The final Frontier.
Hacking your PSP and upgrading it with custom firmware allows you to:
1. Download PS1 Eboots (Or convert your own existing PS1 games) and play them freely on your PSP.
2. Download Emulators and Roms (for NES, SNES, N64, GBA and more) and play them on your PSP.
3. By downloading ScummVM on your PSP you can play any possible adventure game like: Monkey Island or Broken Sword on your PSP.
4. Use other programs or play games that other people have written.
5. many more things that I forgot to list... ^^;
I would recommend you download the program PSPVideo9 for your PC if you're planning on converting and watching movies on your PSP! =3
(you can convert and watch these movies on your PSP regardless if you have a Custom Firmware or not, so it works on any legal PSP as well.)
Just saw the journal and felt like throwing in a suggestion. I don't really played a whole lot on the PSP, and most of the things I have played are either remakes or games that would only interest somebody who enjoys the franchise the games belong to.
