It isnt a complete dif base.... its just the TALLSTACK with some other items.... i checked the kitsune tail and its EXACTLY the same, same size everything.... Im really dissapointed. Throwing old Items into a "new base" and just add some other things to it. And for that we waited so Long :(

I though I was the only one, since I got the update only through the email and files are not in the old site I though there may be some issue with the site but yeah checking the base and like you said, looks like the tallstack with other items that also seems to be the same, I personally was expecting updates for the bases since there was even a suggestion journal and a trello anyways the idea of a new base instead wasn't bad and I was exited about it.......I undertand they worked hard on it and things happened in the mean time but I feel sad about it :(

I have all your base packs paid for (paid for the first one late, but 2015/2016 and 2017/2019 I paid for on time and had access to the “preorder only” accessible files. I emailed twice about this.

Love the new base! <3 And you can even put some of the old lucid parts into this one and almost make it work(a little editing tho with some parts)

Please make sure to check your spam folders in your email for the email containing the final update! The email seems to be getting filtered in there for some, so keep an eye out for that!

I'm honestly a little disappointed that the very "vintage" curly hair that had been teased on the "final-update" Trello board wasn't included. I remember the card was called "curls n stuff" but of course the board is either private or has been deleted now, so I can't even link it.

I do like what new stuff we did get, but I just don't understand why something that looked like a completed layer wasn't included? Unless of course it's in the possible unconfirmed update, which would make sense. lol

I am a bit disappointed too, there was some teasers that wasnt in this update it would seem and not only that it seems like a few of the items were just taken off of TallStack and slaapped on. Dont get me wrong i love some of the new stuff but i half expected more since we waited since Febuary for this long awaited update

I always figured that it would be an updated version of one of the stacks that was meant to look more like the lucid base. I'm quite pleased with how the base itself looks, and with the new stuff we did get. I was just disappointed that some of the teased layers didn't get included; I was looking forward to that hair layer more than any other part of the update.

Actually that hair part was a bit of my piece thats still coming! It wasnt scrapped or anything, there was just some more stuff i wanted to do for you guys and its been super busy over here so i wanted to release my bit separately! Its still on the way though! Im really excited for everyone to see it!

I want to start by saying thank you so much for finishing this two year journey! You're bases are still by far some of my favorites.
I would like to point out as I'm sure others may be thinking as well, as much as I like the new base, I'm sad we didn't get any updates to any of the bases you've already given us.

From what I recall Hensa no longer wanted to support NSFW add on's for their bases. I'm sure however that there are some people who might make it as an add on tho? So maybe keep an eye out for fanmade add on's for the bases

Just a very honest review from a customer who has been with you since the beginning.
I was disappointed with this outcome. When you first announced about this new
base, I was hyped. Legit on the edge of my seat stoked for this, but it's nothing but
a big let down.
Your new bases are literally all the same besides a few new things here and there and it just
seems lazy. i would warn everyone to not buy the tall/short stack and this new one because it's
literally ALL the same.

I'll still use it, of course. It's not that bad, none of your bases were bad to the point I didn't use it.
It's just been disappointing. Thanks for the effort though.

I'm commenting here as a regular user and a customer (which is what I was when I first purchased this base). Those of you who know of me know that I'm not one to speak out on... pretty much anything. And when I do it's with as much logic and with as many carefully weighed words as possible. But due to some real life BS, I'm going to just say this fast so I can get back to my obligations. Please read this with as little judgment as possible.

I respect each person's right to their own opinion. However, I'd like to say that I am completely satisfied with this outcome. Those who are complaining they didn't receive a free, 'totally new' base seem to forget that this is a marriage of everything we've been provided (as well as new layers) in order to facilitate a complete product for the entire package. There's no reason to expect a totally free, totally new product on something we purchased. The only thing we were entitled to is what was sold to us, and while Chrysalis may have felt unfinished, the Dreamystack is certainly complete. Many of us weren't even sold the Tall/Shortstack, so it's certainly unfair to complain that lines from that free package were used to 'complete' the original package!

Are there things I wish there were more of or that were different? Sure. It's weird we have so many goo parts but no goo arms (for example) but this isn't Hensa's fault. It may have taken a while for it to get finished, but it's done now. If you're looking for something different, consider purchasing something different, but for what we were promised this update dispenses, in my opinion, Hensa's obligation to us. She doesn't owe us anything else. She's done. And demanding more out of her that we didn't pay for is just... like, not cool. Understanding that the incomparable HeartStitched is possibly going to provide us with additional things of the good of their heart (sorry, I can't remember their gender at the moment) is a real kindness and one we should treat with gratitude, not a sense of entitlement.

You're still definitely allowed to be wary of future promises from the seller, and you're definitely entitled to your frustration about the situation up until now. You can be angry about long silences or distrustful of future products for sale. But you're not entitled to services you didn't pay for.

If I sound short or mean, I apologize, I'm in the middle of burying a close relative. But I felt like I was allowed one public response after all this time. Please understand I'm not speaking from any position of authority here, I haven't discussed this with site administration or anything (and I'm on a short leave due to the whole dead relative situation anyway). This is no 'official position.' This is just cowgirl as a person behind a keyboard with feelings and thoughts and stuff.

As a customer who has gone through all of this nonsense since the start, as well as a customer who has purchased every single one of her bases released.
I am fully disappointed with the outcome as well as the "journey" we all had to take that could've simply been resolved with the artist being able to properly communicate absences or whatnot, judge me however you will but after being here since 2017 waiting on promises and we're now just finishing them? Pfffft!

On the "free things" mentioned above: I don't agree with anything in the "free" part of the above comment, they were never free as they were part of the advertised pack called the "Cozy Pack" that we paid $50 for, if they had been actually free then they'd be offered to the public or indicated it was a free part that didn't count towards our updates.

It was advertised for Chysalis and everything afterwards as "This brand new template officially launches on January 1st and will receive updates and access to any and all the files I debut on Cozy Cat Studio until the end of 2017." which entails every base or lineart, just as her other packs do the same. I.E: Cozy package 2015-2016 had 7 bases and the one before that had 5-6 as well, that's why people purchased these packs and the artist herself states that each pack is a "base collection" so NONE of these items, including the final update was a free out of the goodness of the artists heart situation.

I do agree that nobody is entitled for services they didn't pay for, they are however entitled to services they did pay for and were promised which is the same thing that has been echoed since all the absences happened, the artist was the one who entirely prolonged this and even the final base people disliked because it's just a TS update? That's also part of the purchase since it's labeled as our last update so that was not free either, if anything there was absolutely no reason to update the TS base whatsoever over updating/revamping the Chysalis like everyone has asked for consistently.


However, the going to meets/cons..etc while ignoring customers questions/issues..etc with no word on anything then getting promised several things to cover it up. I can even provide the screenshots of all those promises as to what the pack entailed.

- Dreamystack is legitimately just Tallstack with minor edits and add-ons
- Spookbeast 2 was just add-ons for TS/SS
- Magnum wasn't finished in the first place, however it's a body add-on for the male Chysalis


As a rundown, for two years we got:

A half-finished Chysalis and the reason we even got that is people consistently telling her they wanted it and calling her out about how she dropped it a month or so only to try to appease everyone with an extra male body type and stuff for it then nothing really else. People had to make their own add-ons just to have more than a couple things to work with
Tallstack/Shortstack updates galore (Spookbeast, Dreamystack)
Chibi outfit base which 99% of everyone's suggestions were ignored so people had to make their own add-ons.
An icon maker that was never updated or looked at again
Multiple disappearing acts
Multiple excuses
Being ignored for cons, meet-ups, outside commissions..etc
Unable to actually download purchases for a good part and no help


As for personal feelings on it? I fully am aware this is it and asking for more is going too far nor would I as I rather not wait another year but I'm also not going to pretend what we did get lived up to promises given to us or the two years wasted to even get the artist to fulfill what people bought. I am disappointed in it and I've fully decided that I will no longer purchase from this artist and I'll advise my friends to do the same, all I can personally say is that I'm glad it's over so I don't have to worry about this sort of thing anymore, the friends I had recommended for her bases have removed her from watched and have warned their friends as well, so I'm going to follow their lead.

These are just my thoughts and feelings on the matter, nothing meant to attack or anything, just coming from a place of frustration and now relief for this to have finally ended, if you can't live up to your promises and obligations then next time please don't put yourself into the situation or be professional about it and speak to your paying customers like an adult instead of running away or vanishing.


This isn't remotely aimed at the guest artists or helpers of the base pack, they didn't promise anything and are either doing it to help a friend or out of the goodness of their heart nor were they responsible for what has transpired.
