Lord of mercy, I'm back online!
Unfortunately there are only two co-ax ports in the place, one behind the TV and the other in the bedroom, so I've got a wire running the whole length of the living room right now, but it's not a big deal yet, this is only temporary.
679 submissions to go through... Phew...
It's good to finally get back online. It's amazing how much you can't get done unless you have internet.
I got five emails requesting callbacks for jobs, and I wasn't able to get to them, not to mention the horde of online applications I could have done.
I nuked all the journals I had, so I missed out on whatever FA drama took place since I moved, as well as memes, calls for commissions, cries for help, laments about porn, requests for porn, and so forth.

And it's very nice being away from the pool. My biggest complaint at the moment is that the two windows are in just the wrong places. No light gets in during the day, and they leave the bedroom and livingroom completely exposed at night.
Knowing how much you disliked having the blinds open at night, you'd hate them.

Eventually I might either get some better blinds, or some kind of hanging that I can put over them. I thrive on sunlight, but it's just too uncomfortable at night, especially when Gilly gets behind them and spreads them open.

P.S. And no worries about the coffee maker. The only other option was donating it, and I'd rather give it to someone I know would want it.
