Patreon and Mini Comics!

General
I finally done it! My patreon went live today.
I won't be doing any 'unlock the uncensored version on my patreon' stuff. But hopefully going there and throwing me a couple of dollars will be worth it to some of you!
My dad died back in Dec. 2016, and my little inheritance from him was going to stretch out forever, let me buy some neat stuff that I always wanted to add to my collections, or to make art in a different way (I did buy a little 3D Printer, but it's still sitting in it's box. Life changed. )
When I split up with my ex in November (that 3D Printer was ordered in October), I had to move, I'm renting in a more expensive area, etc. and that money from Dad has drained away way faster than I thought possible, so I don't have a choice but to try some other sources of income.

-Mini Comics-
As a patreon reward, and for sale at my etsy, and to take to cons, I'm doing a line of easier to make (but not by much!) mini comics that flesh out the story of my main comic. I'll eventually put them up digitally, but for now they only exist as physical copies. Nobody's going to get denied them, and they definitely aren't required reading for Sunshine.
The first two are already made (I'm taking them to the printer in just a moment, they're going to be assembled by hand). One is a conversation between Nicole and Dorian, after Lenny and his housemates are in bed, the night Jua took him out to eat. It gives a little more of them and their personalities, and lays some groundwork for stuff that'll happen later.
The other is a flashback to Jua and Lenny's childhood, one summer between school years, of them outside playing. We get a little of their relationship.
So, thank you a ton if you decide to support me monitarily, and thank you, regardless just for stopping in to read this. It means a lot to me that anyone cares at all!

Expanded materials, awesome! Someday I hope to be able to support and see the then-current batch! (or just 'cause)

Thanks! I'm not going to hold stuff back for too damned long (I've just not been making art that's not the mini comics or commissions, lately!)

Whatever works for you is good for me!

It definitely won't hurt, I think.

I've seen many have decent success with similar setups, so here's hoping!

Very much here's hoping!
Mini-comics sounds like an awesome idea for patreon!

Thanks! I got the idea from someone on youtube. They weren't a furry creator, but the idea fit my stuff too well to not do.
Ooh. Minicomics? Whenever they're ready, I'll find the money to pay for both of them. It's always nice to learn things about characters that aren't a part of the full comic. I look forward to hearing they're ready and how to order them. Oh, BTW, if you never considered it, you could take each chapter of Sunshine and make paper comics of them, too. I'm sure they'd sell rather well. I know I'd buy them.

Getting the resources for professionally printing the actual chapters is a goal of mine. I am up in the air about single issues or a collected graphic novel, though. I do draw the pages on a full 11X17 page that's marked for real comics though. I'll let you know as soon as the mini comics are up, too!

Thanks. I absolutely love "Sunshine" and I'm sure I'll love the side and mini-comics, too. I'm a big fan of "TwoKinds", who isn't right?, and, when I heard that Tom had a side, mini-comic, I immediately bought it and I'm so glad I did. I enjoyed that comic as much as I enjoy "TwoKinds".

...I somehow didn't know what TwoKings was. Hahaha. Holy crap. Well, I have something to read now!

Here's the link to the first page of the comic. http://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/1/ There are over 1,000 pages so far. I think you'll enjoy it.

Every now and then, I'll go back to the beginning just to get my "TwoKinds" fix. I'll read ten pages at a time until I catch up again. As you read from the beginning you'll see how Tom's art style changed and improved over the years.

I saw that immediately, given the other art on the site. I know that's the case too. it's a bit painful looking back at my own stuff!

Every artist improves with practice. That's my problem (other than lack of talent); I don't practice enough.

Talent only helps get you to the door. It's just work and being willing to learn from there on.

I would but I went cold turkey on all my patreons. :3 <3

I've only barely touched the site, ever, myself.
