Feeling as if I am on a sinking ship

Current economic, political, and diplomatic situation in Korea is quite bleak, but I am not sure what I can do about it.

Hmm - does Morocco want you to visit again?
And as someone whose family is from the Republic of China and has a proud history of fighting and fleeing famine, economic chaos, Japanese invasion, communist takeover, and the constant threat of nuclear missiles, I can also say to keep up hope, but always be prepared for the worst. Nothing is eternal.
That which is long divided must unify; that which is long unified must divide.
Hang in there!
It hurts me that I can't save as many people as I want, nor could I probably save myself, so I choose to act without regrets. Whether or not I join billions of other humans into oblivion, I'll at least have that.
we have a lot of mass to dampen out fluctuations, but, trump's tiff with china,
looms ominously on a horizon calculated to hit after the 2020 election.
the up side, is that its not the little green pieces of paper.
the down side of the upside, the really bottom line,
isn't the misadventures of symbolic value,
but an environment decreasingly hospitable to the human species,
as a result of priorities based on the pseudo-science of economics,
instead of the realities of the biosphere and the co-dependence of all life.
with any luck some things will change, as, after all many things are always changing,
and never all in the same direction.
if we can replace chump with someone who's head isn't where they can't open their eyes,
we may be able to partially dodge that bullet.
while we can no longer expect to completely avoid ecopocalypse,
there is plenty to still do, to limit and contain the degree of its effect.
we have only a very brief window remaining in which to do them,
so now is not the time, to throw up our hands and accept our doom as something we have lost all ability to do anything about.
But at the same time, I don't if I can really say.
I've seen what other folks have said here, and I'm not going to say that any of them are particularly wrong, whatever my specific opinions be.
I will say, however, that going by the replies I've seen so far, that I'm perhaps largely in the boat of people like ThreeTails, TheBigMansini, and Leucrotta:
Value whatever relationships you have, and from wherever you gain them, as they may be seen as being more meaningful and lasting than politics, however overwhelming those things can be.
And if you can, continue with your art, as it can be a release from this sort of burden, and, who knows, might even inspire the way for something better in due time, even if it's just the smallest of first steps.
And, depending on your values and priorities, if you feel like you should stand up and say or do something, then perhaps do it. I wouldn't endorse or condone outright violence, of course (aside from self-defense, if it came to the worst case scenario), but if you feel that it's come to the point where some risk needs to be taken, then I wish you well.
Otherwise, I suppose I'd just try to encourage you to have some sort of faith in the overall flow of things, as hard as that is to do at times.
I hope this helps, if not my reply specifically, then someone else's or just seeing that folks care to give some sort of feedback.
Take care of yourself.
Things are pretty the same in every corner of the world. Believe your watcher from global corporation, every country right now is stepping on the treshold of screwing things up, everyone doing the same and everyone afraid of it.
And there are the rest of countries where you can't do business selling pills, because of situation there.
Every time you feel down, remember: you are on the roof of the skyscraper, and there are at least 100 stages below you.
If you can't do anything with country - do something for yourself. Find people who will be important to you, whose company will be better than any political situation. Concentrate on this. You'll feel much better then, I believe
