This math sorta fails when comparing 360 to ps3 as more people in the united states own a 360, so more occurances for a "fail" are possible.

As for the wii, well it just prints money.

also the majority of people polled about their xbox were those who played it all day every day...hence the high failure rate...you use something that much...its gonna break faster than it should

Actually, the xbox tends to overheat easier than the other two systems due to the parts (still) used. It eventually warps the tracks on the laser's eye. At least this is what a techie at my local gaming store explained. Oh and there is the problem of the xbox eating discs =D

it was a poory manufactured system...the body design made airflow horrible..so solder used to fuze components is inferior.... you dont rush a game system just to put it on the shelves by christmas

meh it's one of those trial an error sorta systems i guess, if/when they upgrade the system i'm sure alot of things will be improved upon ^^

it would have to be thicker than it already is...thats one of the main problems...i had one that red ringed on me...so i took it apart and its not well designed...its all way too close together for something with that kind of power....also the inter coolers and stuff made to help cool the system actually kill it faster because the 360 needs all the power its getting from its adapter....i had a friend find out the hard way

mine lived for over 2 years but i tell you i put that sucker through torture, it was on almost 24/7. so considering how long it lasted with the brutality i caused it i think it did an AWESOME job for my first xbox ^^

an they have some crazy ways of making things powerful but small, so i'm sure there are materials they can come up with to achieve what they're looking for, that's what they get paid for afterall, lol. either way i'm an xbox consumer through an through, yay. haha

i used to be an exclusive playstation consumer... but when i saw the xbox 360 then the ps3 come out a little later i saw A LOT more games i'd play on the xbox than on the playstation. there's really only a few games i wanna play on the ps3, an the only other reason i'd wanna get it is cause of the great price of a blu-ray it has. *shrugs* that's about it really...

i had the same idea at first....my first 360 lasted me several years...after i got a new one i played it less and less. i got a ps3 after my psp was stolen from me i now pretty much play only my ps3 and have considered selling my 360 to someone close by

*shrugs* well everyone has different interests. my main concern as to why i WAS a strict ps consumer was cause of all the awesome FPS's they had. they has a huge contract with most of the RPG's which was awesome, but i like fps's more. so when i saw all the games that came with the xbox, i was like... DAYUM! i'm tappin THAT ass. lol

i just found that ps3 was aimed at a more hardcore gaming consumer...which is why ps3 has so few titles....before a company can make a game for ps3, they have to be approved by sony because they dont want crappy third party games making it onto their system..once the developer is approved...only then do they get the software to make their game for the ps3...its very elitist of sony to do that....but then again...ive never had a bad game for my ps3...i cant say the same for my 360

well though i've seen many a crappy game for 360, there's still a larger assortment that i would even just try for the hell of it. cause there are alot of games with alot of potential but if they can't pass the elitists judgmental hands then they'll never amount to anything, i think even though crappy games should be filtered more there are some that should be given a chance.

like... have you ever heard of the game "EndWar" it's a tom clancy strategy game. all you do is use voice recognition to give out orders to other units to capture or fight or defend or w/e. it's a really simple game in the beginning but after a while you really have to start thinking serious strategy. it wasn't the best selling, of tom's video game altered stuff or of most strategy games period, but it was alot of fun an has some serious potential to be something even greater than what it is.

an games like "spongebob" an crap sure WE probably wouldn't play it, but that's again for a different age group because the 360 has many different age groups playing it since it's one of the most commonly bought an played systems. an at a young age, who really cares about good graphics or plot, it just has to entertain a young mind *shrugs* haha

i'm just glad that they are started to make all the later games available for most of the the systems instea of being exclusive to just one system. that really pissed me off.

the main reason i got pissed at the 360 was the lack of backwards compatibility with most games...you had to go to best buy and have geek squad make it backwards compatible... so many great games for the original xbox that could never be played on the 360....the best example was steel battalion for the xbox $250 game because of the 40 button controller that took up your coffee table...microsoft said they wouldnt make it playable on the 360...and that was such a waste...i played it a few times and it was well worth the price tag...also that you have to pay to be on xbox live and actually do anything....i would rather put that money into playing WoW...

all in all though. the 360 and the ps3 both have strengths and weaknesses... the ps3 has far superior graphics capabilities than the 360 as far as playing it in HD, however the 360 has far more games and is more of a party system than the ps3, having more multiplayer games that can be payed on just one system and not having to link up. the ps3 is better as far as online play in that its free and wireless was a standard feature and that it was rather simple to set up. sony produced a winning system as far as usability goes and for adapting the system for more power and space. the fact that the 360 requires special hard drives was a really big let down for me in that i spent $100 and a few hours and now my ps3 has a 500Gb hard drive and the warranty is still valid. the blu ray is really nice too ive pretty much switched over to blu ray ever since i started watching movies like that..at first i thought i wouldnt notice the differences but once you watch enough blu ray you start to see the difference pretty easily...

i would say buy the ps3 slim since that is a great deal $325 for a ps3 (including tax where i live in houston) with 120gb hard drive its a wonderful system and i dont see why people would hate it now that its so easy to get with a low price...its better than just buying a blu ray player ^^ so if you end up buying a ps3 in the future then send me a note and we can play online together ^^

oh i wouldn't buy a blu-ray just to have a blu-ray. if i got something that cost a pretty penny i would want it to have a few features, that's why i've considered getting a ps3 simply cause even though they're few an far between there are still a small fraction of games that i wanna play, as well as their being the blu-ray all for a really good price ^_^

one day we may get a wii too, but for now i'm not really interested, maybe later down the road or something, seeing what else they may create in that department ^__^ i hate jumping on different bandwagons all the time when newer an better things come out later. so for now i'm stickin with 360 until i see the better models pop out, which i've heard some good things about the ps3 slim.

lol ya..thats one reason i got the ps3 was that it did so many different things. i have a wii, 360, and a ps3 so i've got all my bases covered so im giving an unbiased opinion on the systems...all are great but all of them have flaws... the ps3 slim looks really nice though...supposed to use less power too so it should be cooler than the fat ps3 like i have, i use an external intercooler with its own power supply and it keeps my ps3 from being way too hot to touch...it still gets hot but thats just because i run everything in high def. but i highly recommend getting a ps3 because it has so many awesome features like playstation home.. i even turned my friend from being a total 360 person to now he is buying a ps3 slim pretty soon.. its a great platform for the price...it was when they were still $500 since sony lost money on every ps3 they sold back then...

anyway no need to try an convince me of anything, i was plannin possibly gettin a ps3 at some point or another, but it's not just my decision, i have a husband to consort with, though i don't think he'll really have a problem with it *shrugs* but we're trying to save up for other things at the moment so a ps3 is sorta not at the front of the list of things we want or need XD

gaming is a low priority for quite a few people on here. most have bills and other things that they need like food and clothes and gas... i still live with the parentals and still will for the next few years while commuting to and from college everyday once that starts on october...thats the only reason i had the money to afford everything that i have..there are still quite a few things i would like to own but those can wait till im more prepared to use them properly so its not a waste of a large chunk of cash

well it's not like we can't afford them, we could get them just fine, it's just we'd like to say we have money saved for multiple things, eventually a house, a new car, our children in the future, our possible trip to jamaica next year, there's alot to save for so i can hold off on the minuscule want of a ps3, lol

thats exactly my point ^^~ there are more productive things to save for. i wanted to get an exhaust system for my birthday but i decided to get an external flash for my camera instead since it was a more productive gift because all i do is photography. ^^ i hope you two get to go on your trip to jamaica ^^ its a great place for having fun and relaxing

When the 360 was first made, it was mandatory for games made for it to be capable or flat out 720 dpi hd. Capcom however made the text programed to always display as if you were on a wide screen tv/monitor.


Now the text for it has always been shittybut aparently if you have a widescreen hd supporting monitor, the text appears "normal."

nay, my screen is nice and square. and capcom didn't do a very good job if that's what it's SUPPOSED to look like... well, as far as font size goes, anyway.

Yes, if you have a regular box then the text will continue to be funked up, as, for some reason, the text was always designed to display in "widescreen" mode.

i have no qualms even AFTER getting the RRoD on my pro, i just went down the road an bought an elite, lulz. no matter the fail rate on the 360 people still love it an will demand it. it's as simple as that. haha so anyone that has a problem can go suck it, lol
