My uncle Craig just fought cancer and won. It took its toll on him and he will never be the same. He is a shadow of his former athletic self. He survived only to have my closer uncle, Bob, be diegnosed with terminal cancer. He has 3weeks to 6 months depending on how his body takes the kemo. Even when you think you triumph over the nastyness of it, someone else in your family could get it right after. It really is horrable.
