Paypal policy update >>> Raising commission prices

Hello!!
I'm sorry to bring "bad news" this early in the day, but this has been bothering me for a while now and wanted to talk about it and how it affects me and you (as a client) as well.
About a week ago paypal announced a change in their service policy

Basically it means a few things:
1. No longer being able to keep paypal balance, money will be sent to your bank account at the end of the day.
2. USD will automatically be converted to MXN (so you'll be subjected to the daily currency change) (making me pay for it every day instead of paying it once every 1-2 weeks)
3. Payment plans will be disabled, this one I'm not sure if it'll mean I won't be able to use payment plans or I can't use payment plans on my invoices (meaning you'll have to pay invoices whole)
It has me worried since I'll be receiving less money, I'm already paying the usual normal fees and now I'll be paying daily currency exchange rates that I cannot control nor predict
Also since I can't keep balance anything I buy in USD will be subjected to the same exchange meaning I'll be paying more than the current USD exchange (since paypal has it's own currency exchange)
It sucks, I know.... I been trying to find other services to use, that you guys also use, but it's really hard, not everyone uses Venmo or Strype it reduces the chances of clients being able to pay for commissions.
So the only likely solution is raising commission prices, sadly, despite these new policies I can't bring myself to drop paypal as a payment method for international clients
Ofc I'll drop it for local clients but lmao that's not even a 5% of my usual clientele
I'll be uploading an updated commission list on Sept 25th, before that I'll still be using the last pricelist.
So this is a small heads up for upcoming changes.
Please also have in mind that right now I still have a 20% OFF sale, take the chance to buy commissions for cheaper before I inevitably have to raise prices....

I'm glad you're not letting yourself entirely suffer tho!!! And raising your prices to keep up with things Ello!!! ; o ;
I already had planned to raise my prices at the beginign of the year, but I was too lazy to make a new list;;;; ahh now that I'm forced, well;; it's such a shame it'll all go to covering dumb fees :'0
It really is, but hopefully some folks will still tip you for your stellar art regardless!! And hopefully next price raise will be for your hardwork and not some stupid fees! <:3
