Yup. This is my Destiny.
Hey all! Sorry I don't post that many journals @_@ I guess I just don't know if it's bothersome to do so? Weird to make a journal entry every time I want to talk? I guess that's just this site though---it's more of a 'gallery' than trying to help ppl interact w/ one another (which is fine I suppose).
Still......been wanting to ask:
Do you guys think my work is getting worse? Or do you have any tips or things you'd like to see more of from me?
Perhaps it's just the typical 'artist vibe' where I'm just feeling down about my work....but I just feel like it's not getting any better. I keep referencing books and such but idk....anyone have any specific things to advise? Or again, if you'd prefer not to talk about my style/skills, then what would YOU like to see more of?

If you still want to feel challenged, though, trying a different style altogether could help. Realistic, cartoony, could even try looking at older game concept art and try to imitate techniques from those.

Of course that's not to say anyone who answers is being disingenuous, but it's a lot harder to tell in public from strangers. You'd be better off asking trusted peers in a more private, safe, and honest critique environment.
On the brightside, a bunch of very nice folks have reached out to me privately about this journal entry likely for the reasons you've suggested and it HAS been helpful. Ty again!
