PC nearly useless. Help?

It has slowed down so badly i can barely use the computer now. 5 minutes to get into windows. just as long to get anything else working... Its officialy on its last legs :(
A) Ask around and see if someone you know has one or call a computer service place and see if they'll let you borrow or rent one.
B) Use an external hard drive to painstakingly transfer over what you want.
If all else fails, get a new HD and write the original off as a loss. Unless there's something vital that you absolutely must have, I think you'd be better off starting over. You do have an OS disc, right?
Im not techy so id never figure it out.
