It is up to you but according to me your job might be a better option than FA even if I don't know your life and work life at all!

I definitely think your art is good enough for a full time artists, and I also wanted to mention that I'd be willing to pay more than your current rates for a commission from you. But only you can say if this is a realistic career for you. I would be sad to see you less active on FA, but your mental and physical health is important, and if you decide that a regular job is better for financial stability, I can't argue with that.

It's a very tough situation, and there's no easy answer either way. However, your health should always be a priority, so don't ruin yourself if attempting to do both leaves you feeling too stressed and overloaded with emotions. Mental and physical exhaustion can be difficult to deal with, I hope you can find the time to take a break and refresh yourself at some point! And I'm sure myself and plenty of others will support whichever option you choose to make for your career; you've always been very thoughtful and so kind to everyone on FA since I've known you!

I basically quit art to focus on my main job. Couldn't get inspired at all anymore.
You have to decide but you are too gifted as an artist in my opinion to give it up.

FA is pretty finicky commission-wise. As long as the job makes the bills I would keep it and focus on it (as it may be more stable)

Isn't anyone's place to say but your own, as you said both have positives and negatives.
FA wise things will be 'more relaxed' compared to the proper employment overall I guess. As you sell out so fast commission slot wise for obvious reasons, I know there will always be people commissioning you. But it depends on if with the added time that commissions would equal out to what you would be making with your proper employment (alongside proper employment is stable income).

Have to look after yourself first and foremost, what allows you to get by and pay the bills/provide for yourself is the most important factor in this all. I don't see any right or wrong answer with this, just do what you think is right and will work out best for you both physically and mentally. As your health is also a big factor to consider. ^^

Like many already mentioned it's your own choice to decide and nobody else! We will support you no matter the choice. I know and understand the feeling myself.
Health is the one thing that is always a first-come, so don't choose something because others think so, pick what YOU would feel the most happiest about! To feel good about your work is just as important

Oh vertry...I am sorry to hear you have been so stressed lately.

I had to think about what to say to this journal because while I am not an artist, I understand all too well about being stressed, mentally and physically; it really is not healthy for you.

I think the best thing for you to do right now, is to take a short break from fa- at least commissions and focus on your primary job. See how that makes you feel. Then after a while come back to fa and maybe take a few commissions here and there just to see how that makes you feel. Plus the break would probably do you some good!

Also, make a list of the pros and cons of both jobs: here and your real life job, and see which one outweighs the others.
While is it very possible to be a full time successful artist on here, it is still difficult and stressful, especially building up a stable watcher base and income to support yourself.

Whereas your real life job is stable and you are guaranteed a paycheck- though I know you are probably not very happy there all the time.

Ultimately the decision is yours but I will support you no matter what you decide. You just have to do what is best for you.
