I don't know if "successful" is the right term, maybe the sheer volume of artwork and gratuitous use of tags helps people see my stuff even if I'm not someone seeking popularity by commissioning all the popular artists for 'viral sharing'.

Well, "successful" not so much in popularity, but the fact you must have a pretty well-paying job to commission so many popular artists!
They can get pretty expensive! Especially depending on how often you get commissions!

Ahh, well I tended to go for low cost / fast commissions for most of those 9 years, but in the last two it's a lot less total, but higher cost. So it kinda evens out!
