About how I became an atheist
Konichiwa everyone. I have long wanted to talk about this topic. Probably few people know, but I'm an atheist. And today I want to tell why, and also decided to criticize religion. And no, I do not urge you to become atheists and give up your beliefs. I just decided to talk about what I was thinking about all this time.
I don’t even know where to start ... I once used to be a believer who converted to Christianity. But when I got up as an adult, I thought all this time: "But by my will I became a believer? Or was it all imposed on me?" But I’m probably going to amaze you, I’m also a Buddhist. What attracts me most is Buddhism with its own philosophy. She also has her own limitations: to give up material wealth, to shave off the hair on her head, eat once a day, and so on. Which I really don't like. However, I strongly like her religious and philosophical views of the world. And if I’m a Buddhist, then I can also be an atheist (I think so).
What about restrictions and religious rites? They change, only what is the point in them? And to believe in something that I have never seen is, in my opinion, strange. No, I'm just expressing my opinion. For each person, the idea of a creator God is different, I do not deny it. But, there are such strange countries in which religion is forcibly imposed, as Islam. And I will even say more, in Russia propaganda of religion and Orthodox Christianity is also underway, that this is not legal. But what about the story when the war came about because of religion. Yes, it’s peace time, but there are still places where atheism is condemned, which is bad. Also their limitations. I will say this, I live for myself, and then for others. You see, religions can impose that "they must live for the sake of others, but if you live for your own sake, it is selfishness and sin!" Bullshit, complete bullshit!
But my religion has positive aspects for me. This is mythology. Religion for me is a source of inspiration for different mythologies. For this I love the Shin series of games Shin Megami Tensei (you also can to see here journal: What is https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9196107/i?) But I also heard that the series is criticized because of "insulting the feelings of believers." Why? Due to the fact that some gods or creatures or someone else were in it? I do not understand.
I personally have nothing against the current religion, just criticism. Therefore, if you disagree on something, you can write.
