this weird way of story telling

please excuse it in that yhelm's story is basically a series of pictures with short scenes of her life and it's up to you to put the pieces together and understand the larger story
after tumblr died it made sequential storytelling harder
and committing to a regular format is restrictive and sometimes i just wanna get a doodle out there but the doodles progress a story
what i've always been interested in writing was how well you can function in a lack of information and on context alone. i love that. there's nothing worse than a story that exists to exposit all the made-up details of a made-up world and the world itself is the main character the main story everything exists to hype up how awesome a world is that sucks.
uwi is not an especially Weird world as far as my settings go and this is less about the world this time and it's more about the story itself having context play
you're tuning in to random episodes and you've clearly missed a few episodes and you only watch for a few minutes, can you still follow the full story?
the struggle of telling a story and making the setting and backstory and context as unobtrusive as possible is something i like and you all just gotta kind of deal with it
like 6 of you are probably following this story but please do understand,
it eventually does contain peril, incest, rape, and slavery. so that's neat. everyone's gonna get their lives fucking ruined. please enjoy that dramatic irony.

I'm still enjoying the segments of stories that I'm seeing though!
If you want sequential storytelling, don't rely on Tumblr or FA or whatever and maybe get a website to show off all your settings and characters however?
manno i am terrible at marketing myself i would never manage lol
kind of there largely hiding in a corner on the gallery page and that's that
i feel like it'd be more legitimized if i did it in a consistent comic format, more coherent, more easy to follow
i also feel like most people don't read the longer (1200+) posts of yhelm's stuff but that's the problem with furries not really reading and me not really marketing myself at fukken all that convinced me to learn how to draw in the first place
but honestly yeah that format has always been my favorite
it's how my tgchan quests worked, it's how what is possibly the best thing i ever did spaceisnothome worked which is now DEAD thanks tumblr im glad i saved a janky backup of that

What were your tg quests on? I only came onboard in the Tumblr era.
But yeah, I miss the old web, may it rest in peace. It used to be a bunch of weirdos doing weird things they couldn't get away with in real life. Now it's mostly just a boulevard of mediocre con men. And roving bands that scream at anyone who tries to be weird.

it was an awkward thing but really fun. the quest died out for Reasons but her life continues on in FA posts under her own tag.
