Shouldn't cost 200 dollars to do a belt. Even if it is a transverse engine. I'm a mechanic and I wouldn't charge 200 for a belt. Whoever you are bringing your vehicle to is ripping you off.

turns out its not just the belt, our alternator went out, our ac unit seized which caused the belt to snap, and we may have blown 1-3 fuses

That would justify the cost then.

Spark plugs are in the engine and wouldn't affect the ABS system. Something like that could be a bunch of things. You could be looking at a fuse, sensor or even worn brake pads. However, I don't believe those have a sensor on the brakes to indicate wear. That's usually a feature on luxury vehicles. The good thing is that the ABS system isn't absolutely needed to drive the car. I personally don't like ABS. The only accident I ever had that was my fault was because ABS kicked in and I was unable to stop. It's terrible in the snow/slippery conditions. I actually disabled ABS on my Subaru.

yeah we pulled the ABS fuse and its fixed, no more propblems with grinding or anything the only down size is my trucks like WE HAVE NO ABS FREAK OUT QUICK SERVicES YOURBREAKS DO SOEMTHIGNGGG!!!
