Since then I have been recovering and making changes, so far positive, in my life.

One effect of this is that I decided to take a small break with “Such terrible hatred”. I had put way, way more of myself than I thought of in this story. And I absolutely intend to continue with it —but as of right now it felt too soon. I felt too raw and vulnerable whenever I tried to start writing the next chapter.

Come Sunday, I am going to take a trip abroad, and will come back around Halloween (yeah). I hope to be able to resume “Such terrible hatred” in November.

But in the meantime I have not stopped writing, just shifted gears.

For starters, coming up is crossover fanfic mixing one franchise I hadn’t dabbled in for decades and one I had never tried writing before now.

It’s called “In the dead of night”, and it’s basically a meeting between Kevin Keller of “Riverdale” (and Archie comics in general) and Wolverine of the X-men. You heard me. If I did my job right, you can follow this story without needing to know anything about either universe.
