Well, I'm back. The bus ride back was probably the most stressful part of the trip. Bleh, I crashed afterwards, thus the lateness.
To start off, the video room ran pretty smoothly. The filler-buffers I suggested saved us having to make up time too much and put us back on schedule even when we got off to a really late start setting up. Putting popcorn in the video room also seemed to be a success, though I have some suggestions for seasoning said popcorn for next time. Because we planned ahead, the movie selection attracted plenty of people, though we didn't fill the room. Maybe next year...
Anyway, after I got over being shy and worrying about my cat-side annoying people, I started having a good time. Apples to Apples is an awesome ice-breaker. I recommend a game of it for anyone who's usually shy at cons. I bought a few commissions from Kat Miller and picked up my badge from AnimeCat, all of which were adorable and surpassed any expectations I had. :)
The hotel, however, was even more shitty than last year. The renovations they'd put signs up for were almost never heard or seen, and the friggn place was falling apart. Plus, I think they have a bit of a mold problem. Several people at the con, myself included, started feeling ill while in the hotel, and we concluded it must be mold, since I developed a cough the moment I arrived, and someone had found black mold growing in their bathroom last year.
Good news, though! MFM is moving away from that hotel, to a new one in the nearby Olive Branch, Mississippi. It's a -really- nice place, worlds above what we dealt with this year, and is a private, groups-only conference center in a crime-free location. Its website is at www.wwconferencecenter.com for the curious.

It was a great help having you on VR staff this year. You and Simon were a HUGE help. Even if you and I did butt heads a little, but i think that was a it of stress on both our parts ^.^
Sorry to hear the bus wasn't all that great, but I understand your pain. Im hoping this is the last year I have to do that myself. I hope you had fun and it was great seeing you again *Huggles*
