Which con? Suddenly, the UK seems to've seen a mushrooming of con activity, after several years with only small regional meets and housecons. The Bus Rule applies to cons as well, apparently. ^_^

Just make sure you do post the occasional work here, and we shan't have to go knocking on your door. =:)

Oh, I do stuff for Confuzzled. Other than that there's RBW, the boat party plus, and Scotia, which is way out on the north coast of nowhere. I wish them all well, but Scotia being in Inverness is an auspicious choice - even for Scotland furs it's not exactly on the doorstep, and travel links aren't amazing from England either - and then I still associate RBW with being an event made solely to mock the hard work of a number of furs - many of whom are my friends. Which it was, once upon a time.

Still, my impressions are slightly dated; since last time the management has changed, a few of us think the name should change too, but this is the first year under new reins and it'll be interesting to hear reports about it. I have it on good authority that this year's is likely to be much better, if they get their numbers. (It's 5th on my con list, after two filk cons, CF, and EF; I don't have enough money, alas!)

Small meets, hmm? I always thought the largest regional meets were huge for what they were - Manchester and regular London pulled in 100-150 people, and Sheffield always came close in the past. RBW managed ~300 for 2008, but for 2009 has ~170 on its list and reg closes in 10 days. CF had ~200 in 2009, for 2010 has 154, and has given space for 300, with room for 350. It's not that dissimilar to meets, and nothing like Eurofurence - which had ~900 this year. Now that's attendance. ;)

Hm! Hadn't realised Manchester had grown that much, but then, there's very little said about UK meets other than LondonFurs and the occasional minor bash in Southampton, as far as my LJ flist goes; and then there are/were the erstwhile Yateley meets. Used to be some talk of Brighton, but that seems to've fallen curiously silent of late, despite being quite a neat little town. Mind you, I find the same problem with hearing about furry goings on in SL, too - sims can vanish with nary a mention, as with Taco in 2007, and seemingly parts of FurNation recently.

CF's a bit of an overloaded (in the C++ sense =:) acronym for me - that's already occupied by the defunct ConFurence, and present Califur. *grin* Not been to the latter, though it seems like a decent enough relaxacon; but then, I haven't been to /any/ cons since 2000. Might try getting along to Further Confusion sometime, though I'm more likely just to head over to the Wolf Valley room party in-world. =:) All depends what the future holds, really - if I can edge into an iPhone development position in the Bay, that'd make things vastly better, on various fronts, including reuniting me with my social life. *sigh*

EF's really grown, including luring folks from other continents. That's certainly one I'd consider getting along to - furriness and very good beer? Ideal. =:) Feral sounds interesting too, but I'm not sure I'd survive prolonged disconnection from the net. ^_^

It just kinda happened with Manchester. I stopped going to 'em though, I've always been more at home at the London meets, although it'll take some frequency before I actually remember anyone there any more. :p

CF is CF! A decent event in a nice place for a reasonable price, and certainly easier to get to than any overseas con. Gonna try for EF this year though, I know a number of people who go.
