a question that has nothing to do with art for once: what kinda ye olde stuff that's admittedly pretty low quality makes you remember all those happy feelings you had when you were still a kid/still produced serotonin? the more guilty the pleasure the better
for me, it's geocities pages, virtual pet browser games, and bootleg vhs tapes of godawful saturday morning cartoons based on preexisting media franchises

Various old cartoons of poor-to-good quality from the 80's and 90's (Rainbow Brite, Carebears, He-Man, Etc).
A Bunch of weird older crap like that tbh
Old-school style RPG...something you never see a licensed game doing. Loved it.
Basically, we own a Nintendo 64 among our various devices, and that was the first game for it that was MINE. I got it for my tenth birthday. I put hours into it. Yes. I still play it sometimes.
Old Neopets artwork; you know, like on some of the pages where they haven't updated the artwork since 2005 and it has that grainy, low-quality feel.
And the themes for old saturday morning cartoons like Ducktales, Talespin, Pepper Ann...
I’m a xennial so my memories are half analog and half digital. Oldies music my dad used to listen to and leafing through my CD collection. Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Blue/Gold, Pokemon Stadium, Funny Face (pc), Windows 3.1 of MS Paint, and Normality (pc). Avocado green and harvest gold, two 70s colors which survived in our house until the early 90s. Old tv commercials for toys or games and Nickelodeon bumpers. Remembering Toys R Us, KB Toyworks, and when Best Buy had aisles of CDs. Watching game shows like Supermarket Sweep and sitcoms or variety shows TV Land or Nick at Nite used to show. New wave. GigaPets.
