Happy Halloween/Fall Holidays!!

And blessed Samhain to those who celebrate that... and feliz Día de los Muertos as well.
My favorite time of the year aaa
Of course, it is under 30 degrees tonight here and a freaking church is having a "harvest festival" trunk-or-treat 1000 feet from my house so we never get any trick-or-treaters *shakes fist angrily* but I'll be waiting at the door with full-size candy bars for anyone who dares to brave the cold to this witch's house. In three years we've had *1* trick-or-treater, but I will never give up. I specifically agreed to move to the suburbs ONLY because I wanted and was so excited to have trick-or-treaters again. Freaking churches ruining everything.
Tomorrow I have to work/judge a chili cookoff fundraiser for my cat rescue. I hate chili so it will be... fun. But hopefully we will raise the funds to help more kitties! Saturday I'm taking one foster to the vet, then a potential adopter is coming to my house to meet another. I'm going to be so freaking sad when she is adopted, she's my one-eyed previously-abused tabby who had stunted growth so she's like an eternal kitten. She's the sweetest and really bonded to me so if I didn't already have too many cats I'd have kept her in a heartbeat. Fingers crossed this adopter works out well.
And next week is my birthday :D I'm working on it, but at least I get a three day weekend due to veteran's day the following week.
Anyone have fun fall holiday plans??

Hope the kitty adoption turns out well!
One of my fosters was adopted which was great! We miss her terribly since she was with us for 7 months and was the main cuddler in the house, but I got a few update pictures from the adopter and she seems happy already.
Now I just have two more fosters that need homes, so onward we go haha
Awww, that's great to hear that she was adopted! I don't think I could foster, I'd be scared of getting too attached to the babies. :C
And yeah it is tough to foster but when an adoption works out it is worth it. I have a few past fosters who were adopted by friends and I get occasional update pics and it is the greatest thing ever to see them looking happy and part of a real family.
We have ended up adopting a few of them ourselves after fostering, typically when they would be tough to find homes for. That's how we ended up with 5 adult black cats LOL. Most of them were sick or have weird conditions that mean no one wanted to adopt them.
The only one who wasn't ill or injured is a screamer whose entire litter was adopted and he went a full 6 months past that with no one wanting him because he chattered too much. I think it is adorable and don't care, so we ended up taking him. Nothing like taking one foster to an adoption event, having them get adopted, and then going home with a different cat that was at the event lol
Once you have a large group of your own it makes it much easier to just foster and not want to adopt. When you only have one or two of your own (or none) it is a lot easier to get attached to them and picture them as your own pet.
I love my fosters but usually when they get adopted I'm able to go "oh thank god one less litter box and fewer vet appointments!" lol
