Thanks for 100 Watchers!

Well, I guess I have reached this arbitrary milestone of having 100 watchers. Thanks everyone!
So some more thoughts:
After a loosely hanging around the periphery of the furry community for years and after a traumatic severing of a long term relationship, at the beginning of this year I finally decided, 'fuck it' and jumped in.
I am glad I did.
This feels like quite a change from my high school days, when my friends and I just casually mocked the Furry Fandom as sexual deviants in the new frontier that were internet forums. Looking back upon those days, and seeing how some of those former friends gained wealth and power but no responsibility, casually trashing those that were different and neglecting to stand up for anyone but their own ego, feels me with regret. We all live together in a small, harsh world, and only those privileged enough to not lack for anything have the means and opportunity to mock others over minor differences. On the other hand, I found the furry community as quite open and friendly, able to actually contribute far more than the bare minimum interactions to others within the community. It has its problems, but interestingly this community is also able to rid itself of some of the worst schemers and manipulators and gas lampers that have destroyed so many other online communities. This has impressed me greatly.
I also do enjoy the fact that some people seem interested in my works of fiction. I have been sitting on my fantasy ideas and stories for years, afraid that people would find them stupid, simplistic or sappy, until finally I decided to see what people thought of them here. I am thrilled that people enjoy my work, and my ideas that others have brought to life.
Finally as a researcher, I admit I did a bit of social experimentation here. I wondered how far I could get in a community that has been notorious for its sexual aspects with only limited depictions of nudity and sex. My prediction was it would take at least a year, which makes 11 months slightly early. While I am by no means popular on FA, I am glad that there is indeed a thriving group of people with additional, varied interests. There are good people here, and I will do my best to be a friend and supporter to them.
Note I do NOT want to be popular here: If you want to watch me, do so based on your own interest. I do not stand schemers and I will be quick to block if I sense a system gamer.
As I have mentioned elsewhere, I am consciously trying to participate more in communities, in the hope that I could encourage the best in these places, and fight against the worst; passivity is what brought us all to the current state of the internet and the world. So with that in mind, and as I am always curious about how a community like this works, I'll throw this question out to the aether of my watchers: What brought you into the furry community, and how does it affect your life?
Stay good,
Clostridium

FA+

I ended up here simply because I like to draw animal characters, seems I did it long before I knew that there was such a subculture :)
