Not often because I don't play much games with other people, but sometimes yeah.

I've never had an argument over an online game but I've not played many...

Just once. It was a Roll20 game that was run by a new DM. She had a lot of "shenanigans" going on that got the players fed up with her. The game never resumed after that.

I've had a couple but last night's really got to me. It's thrown the other DM in to not enjoying dnd, and last thing I want is to end up a foreverDM. All the games I'm a player in are or have disappeared.

Over a game it's all really silly and a bit pathetic that arguments over rules get so out of hand...

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately rules arguments just seem come with the hobby. It's what got one of my favorite D&D characters killed.
