Frequently Asked Questions
Seems certain things keep getting asked more often than others, so I figured it might be worth attmepting to address those here.
Q:
Are you just an escort?
A:
No. I offer and sell photographic services. There is nothing more to it than that. This is art to me, no different than getting something drawn. Traditional artists aren't assumed to sleep with their clients, so it is ridiculous and insulting to assume that I would engage in such acts sinply for using a different medium.
Q:
Will you collaborate?
A:
Yes. However, I am particular in how this can happen, as I believe in all parties involved putting forth equal effort and work in their contribution to the collab. The short and simple explaination means that everyone involved must build their own set and provide theirown poses/props fir the other to use in taking their photos. For no reason will I accept or tolerate one person doing all the work so the other can just takes a seat ,snap a shot and vanish. Sorry, but using folks is not collaboration.
Q:
Can I use your studio/props/poses for my own shoots?
A:
No. I've paid for everything i use, as this is business for me. You have to be willing to spend money to make money. If you're too cheap to invest in your own business or hobbies, why on earth should anyone grant you access to theirs?
Q:
Can I become a model for you?
A:
No. Asking me to become a model only tells me one thing: you're merely looking for free photos. My regular listed models are people whom have been approached without any prompting, nagging or bribery on their part. As they represent my work on a more personal level, I am much more selective about those I'm willing to work with outside of a YCH or commission setting. Flattery will get you nowhere. Flaunting your avatars and bragging about your modding or texture creation skills will get you nowhere.
Q:
How much do you charge for photos?
A:
Depends on exactly what you want. Refer to my pricing and ToS listings here. If you want a price quote for a more accurate idea for a specific shoot you have in mind, contact me directly, as the prices are just a general overview.
Q:
Do you offer discounts.
A:
Depends. This is only something I offer for large shoots of 10 images or larger, all taken in the same sitting. This is also only something that can be discussed prior to the shoot happening, during the planning and price quote portion of the shoot. Once a price is agreed upon and paid, that's it, the deal is done. What I charge is literal pocket change compared to most other artists on this platform. Demaning a discount will more than likely see quite the opposite effect, and my costs will climb.
Q:
Will you make a custom SL avatar for me?
A:
No, I only take photos of avaars and modify existing things to suit my needs for my avatars and characters. This means i don't do any texture work. You would need to talk to someone who creates mods for something like that.
Q:
Can i just submit my ref sheet or somehting?
A:
No, none of my work is drawn. It is all done via SecondLife, and requires you to have an account and assembled avatar on there. I cannot just magically insert you into a photo you're not present for. Sorry.
Q:
How can I be one of the guys or gals that poses with you?
A:
Simple, have an avatar on SecondLife and either a) enter and win a raffle for a freebie shoot or b) commission me or snag a YCH. If you want something, go for it.
Q:
Can I draw you?
A:
This all depends upon your intent behind asking. If you're approaching me asking to draw me because you genuinely want to for the fun of it, sure. If you're approaching me asking me to commission you, no. If someone wants to commission you, they'll reach out to you about it. Hitting up someone's DMs with anything along the lines of "uwu buy my arts pls" is unprofessional and more likely than not to turn people off from wanting to ever do business with you. There are far more effective ways to market yourself.
Q:
Will you commission me?
A:
If I've contacted you about wanting to commission you, then the odds are very high that I will. This is the ONLY way that i will ever consider commissioning anyone.
