Commissions Opening for Dec 13, price changes
6 years ago
Hey guys!
So I did a poll on my Twitter asking people if they would want me to open up for commissions next week after I returned from Texas in a few days and i got an overwhelming response of it being yes.
The caveat of the matter is I probably won't be able to take 3 slots this time around :( or at least not full slots.
Also, as described by my last commission opening I've decided to increase my prices. The reason I've chosen to do this is because since I'm moving and money will be a bit more of a factor now, I wanted to be able to make some sort of wage while drawing perhaps. Plus I feel like over the 6-8 months or so since I've increased prices i feel like my skill level has increased dramatically enough to warrant a pay increase.
So for the last commission cycle I timed myself and in total, right now, I'm typically making $6.50 an hour, which although isn't entirely bad, I just sort of want to start making a bit closer to around $10 an hour, still below minimum wage but, I'm happier to be moving in that direction.
So without further ado, the new prices are as followed:
Sketch: $20
Flat: $45
Light & Shade: $75
Paintings: $120
I asked a few unbiased people about the price increase and they said that it looked good! I just hope I'm not starting to wall people off from my art because of my prices and starting to look like some money hungry artist. I'm just trying to make the bills is all. But thank you to those who understand, I greatly appreciate that.
With that out of the way. I can get to the commission details!
This time around I'll be taking 2 regular slots and one sketch slot. I'll be randomly picking this time around and there will be no guarenteed first come first served slot. So if you're interested, send a note to me containing your idea (just so I can start the day after I pick slots) AND saying if you would like to be interested in the sketch slot as well. If you don't say that I will not put you in that pool. If you're interested however, know you'll still have an equal chance in getting a regular slot.
Slots will be picked out sometime this Sunday!
So I suppose that gives everyone at least 2 days to enter. Kinda of short I know, but that comes with the fact I'll only have like a week and a half to do these once I return, so time is sort of short for me.
One thing to note since I am on time constraints, with the move happening very soon, I will not be taking commissions that have multiple but similar pages, thank you! Also, taking no paintings as well, I'm sorry!
Holy cow this was long, but if you got to the end of this journal, just know i highly appreciate it and I wish I could have made it shorter to digest easier.
