Shiny and Noivern would be a great combo when it comes to mud jumping. What sort of colour would his wellies be?

Hmm...I guess he'd enjoy either also red or yellow or marine blue ones with a fitting coat. Shiny's backplates are marine blue, his usually favorite neckerchief is red and bears his yellow musical note mark of recognition on it.
Could either combine two colors in terms of the wellies and coat or just go with what probably is best visible in the rainy weather. People often wear yellow coats because such are well visible. Could imagine Shiny having one with maybe a Psyduck motive to it to add a cute flavor to the outfit. =D

Red would be cool since Noivern also wears red ones and they would go together perfectly as the welly-wearing duo but I can see why blue would also be fitting since Totodile is blue. A Psyduck styled rain-coat sounds cool too.

Say, that would make for a perfect piece of art, a glimpse of how Shiny looks during rainy and muddy days.

Hehe, well, Shiny of course is more turquoise overall because of being a shiny Totoduile but yeah, I see where you are coming from.
Honestly, since he's a water type Pokémon, he usually isn't in the real need of wearing protective clothes against rain or snow. He just enjoys fashionable items in general because it is fun to put them on. Unlike your Noivern he rather gets excited about when it comes to things like muddy ponds and funny messes. He can just clean himself with a Watergun/spouting water onto himself and taking a bubblebath later. I guess if anything, he'd feel more guilty about accidently ruining his cute coat and boots in some way, though luckily, there are always ways to make such look as good as new. X3

Noivern is excited whenever he sees muddy stuff too since he would jump constantly in it as a Noibat.

He normally just has his red wellies on for the squelching though he does have a raincoat of his own he puts on every now and then.

Yeah, I knew about the rain coat already. By the way, he could have just kept his kiddie boots as a memorial if he wanted to. Some parents also just keep old shoes for a keepsake of memories. =3

Oh, such are basically holes filled with mud. One can roll around in them and even get as deep as that it basically becomes a bath. Shiny has scales and likes the cool and creamy texture of mud, so might be because of that that he doesn't mind getting sticky stuff all over his scales. He'd already also play with substances like slime or rubber, cement and clay, paint and whatnot. X3

Noivern will most certainly check one out soon since he loves to get his wellies stuck squelching so a hole filled with mud sounds perfect for him.

He can always accompany Shiny either. Sharing the fun makes it always better. =3

As a huge fan of Pokemon wearing rubber boots myself...you can probably guess what I answered already based on my avatar XD

Ampharos, maractus (anthro), flaaffy, banette, gourgeist, gengar, clefable, indeedee, entire Popplio line (anthro)... really, I'd enjoy seeing any pokemon in wellies!

Definitely Ampharos though Clefable would definitely look cute in them.
