All we are and all we seem...
my roommate and I share a room in an apartment, and... well... a disaster has struck. his journal explains it better than I could, so I will direct you to that.

in short, his brother gave him a check that hew cashed. but they already spent the money on the check on things they needed. so my roommate's bank took the money out of his account. on top of that, his job didn't pay him because their new hour-inputting system is buggy. so now he's in almost $1000 in debt, and with me still in the process of getting a new job we're boned.
