Merry Christmas, guys.
Hey guys, writing this from a cross country bus heading into Virginia. Lots has happened; My mom and aunt moved out here from Wyoming. We've been in WY for like 4 or 5 generations but it seems we finally all left for better horizons. Things in my life have been hectic and I've been dealing with a bit of stuff, but there will be work soon and things are working out and settling now a bit.
I've learned some valuable things about how to be who I am in spite of other people's agendas and demands. It's liberating and amazing what a simple change in perspective can do. I wont go into more specifics as I just dont believe in spilling all my personal stuff online anymore.
But I think I want to leave you guys with a simple idea this holiday. The idea is, the celebration of this time of year is old. It predates Christianity by centuries, especially in parts of the world with colder climates. If you celebrate for Christian reasons, cool, great for you! But my thinking is that this time of year belongs to all of us. It's not a single religion's thing, it's a shared human thing. Thinking of it like that brings me peace and hope and reminds me that there are threads that connect us all. The world is getting crazier and crazier it seems. It helps to seek those connections.
Happy Holidays everyone.
