maybe have a censored version on my main account and then post the nsfw on the other... its just so much easier to post it all on one

The majority of my posts are 95% NSFW so I never bothered to make an alt account, but I do see many artists doing this. I guess just in case Twitter follows in Tumblr and YouTube's footsteps and decides to bring down all the porn and naughty stuff, which doesn't sound too far off. Thing is, most of your stuff is pretty tame. Some bare boobies and butts once in a while, but god damn they've got some pretty hardcore stuff on those alt accounts. I'd say one account will be fine, but then again I hate making more then one account on any site.

"Don't put all your eggs in one basket" as the saying goes, but I mean, if I lose my Twitter it won't be the end of the world. Perhaps you should make one for just your comic and another for just your work outside of it.

twitter just seems like a there then gone type of site all about quick updates and right there and now from what I have seen its archiving system is barely existent and most attests move finished work to other sites.

If you do start posting on twitter, I hope you'll keep on posting here as well. Twitter might be a good platform for getting a message out, but it's a major nuisance when it comes to actually looking through older artwork and such.

As long as you keep posting here, I'll be happy. Navigating Twitter is hell because you can't specifically tell the site to show you art that a certain user has made, nor are there folders. The site isn't made for art galleries

Yep i plan on continuing to update here as well. Just wanting to start promoting twitter more often, and maybe doing an upload dump here every two weeks or something.

Only problem with twitter: It is a Feed, not a gallery.

Activity is sporadic and solely on how often posts tweets and trying to find past artwork is simply not feasible.
You post, you get response and then it is practically gone. You encounter quite a few people, but not a lot of them stick around.
Great for reaching out, not so for persistent contacts and contents. It simply isn't a gallery and it shows. Plus you never know if a Tumblr like purge happens.

Sadly ain't like FA is faring much better. It seems that more people leave than arrive, or at least that those who do arrive are slightly more prone to keep it to themselves and aren't interested in looking at other's artwork than they used to.
The site is also just so F-ing outdated. It just sucks technologically wise. It is not mobile device friendly, Outages tend to be substantial when they happen and there have been dozens of times of havng been promised a proper update, but they never arrive. You even have to use a workaround to upload big files with the site's staff even promoting the use of it rather than fix the limitation, but it still works as a gallery/archive it seems.

There just ain't no perfect solution. I would wish for there to be a new FA competitor that could successfully become big, but that just can't happen by the looks of it.
So ive come to understand that the best one can do the following:
-Use a gallery site dominantly for Gallery/archival purposes.
-Use discord for establishing a regular fanbase. Occasionally refer to gallery.
-Use twitter for reaching out and plug the discord.

If it happens that one has trouble to keep all their sites updated: There are programs like Postybirb that can automate posting to multiple sites.

Honestly that is what im leaning twords.
Here for the gallery, twitter for instant updates and sales ect, and discord for both of the above but also a place to connect.
Im also looking into making a website for commissions and to post my other side comics
