I think these days people go after a mate as casually as they do as friends; and throw them away just as casually. Just something I've observed over the years that seems to be a more common complaint from people as of late. And for those that just want sex I mean that's all well and good.. but there's too many out there that will use love as a path to getting their rocks off and then cast the person aside when they've either grown bored of that person or someone they deem 'better' has come along.

These days I try to be much more careful about who I trust.

I have seen this before and have chosen not to take up a mate at least in furry fandom thus far. Age too does play in a factor in it as well, especially when the playing around is from someone 15 years removed from where you are in life as well.
