I get what you mean, but don't say such things, taking care of yourself is important! Every day may not be filled with really meaningful things to do, but that doesn't make you useless at all, that's just adulthood. Just kick these down days in the balls and be the best Rhu you can be. <3

I know it can feel like this extra effort doesn't matter. I was responsible for probably about 60% of the work that got done for our Christmas celebration this year, and I had to sacrifice a lot of my own time to do so for something that nominally lasted for only a few hours.

But don't focus on the extra work. You'll never feel good if you concentrate solely on what you sacrificed to do a thing. Instead, think about how you helped take some of the burden off others. Think about how good it felt knowing that taking just a little extra effort made you look your best and how it felt knowing your best was shining through. Think about the permanence of the memories you created and not the ephemeral nature of the moment itself. Most of all, think about how your efforts brought joy and peace to all those involved...especially to yourself.
