I have been on a good run of music for a few weeks now and today I stumbled across this one:

For me the lyrics had a meaning that I felt that I had to share...
(This is the format for my comments and thoughts)
When I was a child, I heard (people's) voices
Some would sing (praises) and some would scream (sneers, spitefulness, animosity, malice)
You soon find you have few choices
I learned the voices died with me (I keep them alive)
When I was a child, I'd sit for hours
Staring into open flame (recounting all of the negative things said)
Something in it had a power (over me)
Could barely tear my eyes away (paying all of my attention to these things)

All you have is your fire (that fire inside that urges you to do something)
And the place you need to reach (your goals, or place of peace)
Don't you ever tame your demons (don't cover up your troubles)
But always keep them on a leash (always keep them in the corner of your eyes for motivation to push forwards)

When I was sixteen, my senses fooled me (at some point)
Thought gasoline was on my clothes (I thought that those voices were right)
I knew that something would always rule me (Those voices finally dominated me)
