"download" now doesn't open the full image link, just downloads it.... guess that'd be fine if they added a "view image only"-esque button

I agree. I think it's faster, actually. Definitely some work on the backend.

It's slower for me and if you use adblock plus, content just doesn't load at all.
So far, the new design works fine for me with uBlock Origin on desktop Firefox. (I quit using Adblock Plus when they sold out a few years ago.)
