Yup. This is my Destiny.
Hey all! Thank you guys SO MUCH for participating in the Mass Effect sale :D it REALLY helped me out a ton during these difficult times. For those who didn't get a chance to hop on the sale, I hope you enjoyed the slew of work I put out <333
Also if you contacted me yesterday or the day before about getting an image, but we still haven't finalized anything? No worries--I'll still honor the sale for you.
Now, sadly, I have a bunch of news to get through one being:
I MIGHT be temporarily closing commissions for a few weeks.
Here's the story:
Only a few weeks ago my father was diagnosed with gallbladder cancer. We are all hanging in there here at home, but it's been tough. Many hospital visits, even went to the ER on christmas Eve due to some previous surgery complications he had. So really, I do appreciate all the support! Every bit helps!
Additionally I've also been having some computer troubles. Thankfully it's NOTHING like before where I had to get the computer repaired buuut here it goes:
So I have a Mac (now heavily considering getting a PC) and it updated to Catalina. For those who don't know, Catalina is a HORRID update where all 32 bit programs cease working unless the developers make them 64 bit. This includes tons of games on Steam and especially.....Photoshop CS6.
For those who don't know, I work in two art programs: I ink in Clip Studio and color in Photoshop.
So I tried turning my computer back to Mojave but the ONLY way I could do that (since I don't understand Time Machine) was to basically reset it and such). icloud saved my files but I had to reinstall all of my programs, my tablet driver, annnnnd I stupidly forgot to back-up my bookmarks on google chrome so LOL no more of that.
Now, I bought Photoshop CS6 years ago and still have the physical disk, the box that holds it and the brown cover with the bar codes, etc. on it---but somehow....none of those things have the serial number. I was with Adobe support for HOURS trying to figure this out. Problem is the program is so old and I never registered it so it was tough. Thankfully Adobe did offer a solution but it'll take 24 to 48 hours to impliment. I REALLY hope this solution works but until then, I will be coloring in Clip Studio.
Now again, I do all my LINES in Clip Studio and believe it or not? I do color in that program sometimes too (even a few commissions you may have seen) so again while this has been a VERY distressing time, it isn't the worst situation. I can at least draw.....but without photoshop my art might take a tad longer than usual to finish :/
TLDR; due to my family stuff, this computer bullshit, and a slew of new commissions that have come through I '''might''' be closing commissions for a few weeks.PLEASE check out my journal here on FA or on my Twitter for any future updates where I will confirm whether or not it's happening. I just feel so overwhelmed right now, my birthday is also this weekend and I'm in NO mood to celebrate....
Also.......again....I REALLY hope I can get photoshop back.......but in the meantime I can draw and color in Clip Studio no problem. It's just a little more time consuming.
