Reaching one's artistic peak

I have probably ranted on this before, but I can't seem to get my mind off of it. Is there a limit to how much one's artistic abilities can improve? And if so, have I already reached it?
I hope that my artistic abilities can further improve, because I'm really tired of not being able to approach my goal. I have been struggling for years and wondering, what if this is really it, and I can't go any further with my artistic self-improvement? If so, then why bother trying to improve?

You always improve so long as you continue to do something.
After all if you're always doing the exact same thing each time then you're not really gonna notice any change or improvement.
Sometimes you just gotta experiment a bit :P
