Neil Peart - RIP
Growing up, one of the first bands that got my interested in music was RUSH. All throughout my teens and well into my 20's,30's and beyond, I bought every one of their albums the day it was released. Still have all my original RUSH LP's going back to 1976. I knew the reason Neil had to retire was due to his cancer and I had hoped he was on the mend, but brain cancer is one of the worse forms of it and few who get it there survive. When I was creating Cassie and her band, RUSH was never far from my mind. I always liked to think that the Rock Vixen took some inspiration from them as well as the band's drummers Alex & Anja did from Neil. I will miss "The Professor" since his lyrics and drumming were the core that RUSH was built on. It feels in a way that a part of my youth has now closed. I was lucky to see RUSH in concert during the "Signals" tour back in 1982, but the "dope smoke" was so foggy in the nosebleed seats that I had, you couldn't see much. But, Boy could I hear them! If you know any of RUSH's albums, play the song "Afterimage" off "Grace Under Pressure" as tribute to a great musician. I know I will.

I felt this bad today as well. He was one of my greatest rock heroes. Rush has been an integral part of my life and have shaped me into who I am now. I was lucky to have seen them for time machine, clockwork angels and r40. He will be missed by many 😩

It's rare I find or come across another fur who grew up in our time period. I remember the bands, Rush, AC/DC, etc.. Those were good times, good music.. It's always sad to see one of our legends die. The best way we an remember them is to never let their music die. Play it with pride and just the way they loved it, LOUD!

Let the eardrums bleed!

Amen! I think when the rain lets up it will be time to break out my classic muscle car and go cruise the streets playing their songs very loud! Best way to honor them!

Already tried to play a Lifeson solo on one of my guitars. It was terrible, but the thought was there.
