My computer is broken (Please Read)

My computer that I do all my work from has broken. I will give a tl;dr here and the details in the rest of the thread, thanks for reading:
tl;dr
-My laptop that I do all my work from has a burnt out battery and now the AC port is failing. It's going into the shop.
-I have an Ipad I bought that I will be learning to draw on and trying to make work happen on, but a learning process isn't what I need right now
-I ALSO have problems with my car that I need to get fixed, putting my finances and time in strain right now
-I do NOT NEED MONEY.
-I will be working as hard as I can to acclimate to my current drawing situation and trying to get back in the swing of things, I just need patience and understanding.
Full outline:
-Computer: My computer has had a burnt out battery for a long time, it's internal and the fix was a financial investment I didn't need. As long as it could stay plugged in, it was fine (I Do all my work from a laptop). Unfortunately, recently I have been having an issue of the plug as well; the connector port from my power source to the laptop is only working in VERY specific positions, and that's no bueno. The laptop cuts off with no warning if the powercord is lost and I can't keep working on a time bomb like that. As a result of this I'm taking it in to get repaired and that means it will be out of my hands for a good long time. I can't say for sure how long at this time. However, I DO have an Ipad that I purchased last year and have been putting off trying to get to know, well it's time to learn I'd say l3 I'm gonna practice on my new device and try to get my work up to snuff as fast as I can, worst I'll do is a WHOLE buncha sketching l3 This does likely mean that I won't be streaming for a long time, though.
-Car: I have also been beset with car problems, my brakes are sticking and I'm not sure why. I'm going to take it into the shop tomorrow as well, limiting my transportation until that's fixed. You know what they say, when it rains it pours. This will compound with my financial situation from my computer and may limit me depending on what the final bills are looking like l3 I will have to see.
So what does this all mean?
Essentially I'll be VERY slow in getting work done, and if I can't muster art that I feel is up to my standards, then finishing work such as my commissions, animations, patreon images and trades will have to take a back seat while I learn my new device or even potentially until I get my laptop back from the shop. I'll still be doing everything I can to make sure I'm moving forward, and if that means I'm doing more rough work than finished work for now then so be it. I hope this is not the case for long and will keep people apprised of my situation as much as possible, but the main point here in all of this is this:
-I'm going to be a bit delayed, and I'm so sorry for that. Please bear with me, I will be back to normal posting schedules soon.
Thank you for your understanding and reading, take care everybody!

As for the internal battery my only reaction is why do some manufacturers insist on making things more difficult for the consumer?
For most high end computing devices with internal batteries, it's a production cost saver as well as a maintenance steal; by that I mean the product in question has to be repaired by a company tech or licensed third-party tech... which raises the cost of repairs for consumers and increases profit margins for the company on older devices verses buying a new device entirely. (a buddy works as a computer repair technician for Apple, he hears all about the nitty gritty Apple does behind customers backs; it's amazing they still have a following. But you can't beat the quality they're pumping out, in the end that's what really matters)
As for my pickup, the fenders (made of steel, not plastic) may be crinkled, shredded and rusty but it's internal mechanics run as smooth as silk. I purposely leave the truck looking raggy because I live in a city, most vehicles I hear that are stolen; look nice outside and in. For me, the outside appearance isn't important; plus it deters would be vehicle thieves... and even if someone tried to steal my ride... they'd have to find the kill switch first! lol

If your laptop can't be repaired, DON'T PANIC... you can still recover ALL of your artwork (and anything else of digital value) without paying someone else to look at, I mean... transfer your files into a portable hard-drive. You can do it yourself for a mere fraction of what you'd be paying someone else to do by removing your laptops 2.5 inch sata hard-drive and inserting it into an Enclosure... you can buy one on Amazon for as cheap as $9 bucks (Sabrent is a good brand, I use their enclosures a lot). It's as easy as changing a receptacle or replacing door knob, plug and play; you should be able to sift through all of your laptops data (program files, apps, back-up files, your artwork and anything else of digital importance).
When I lost my laptop, I didn't know how to do any of this shit; let alone build a tower from the ground up (which I can do now without raging)... Oh and check that out, you got yourself a relatively-free portable hard-drive you can use to backup your New data that you collect. Just make sure you re-format it after you recover your high value por... I mean, files; Yeah... By this point, I'm assuming you don't have your laptop anymore; I can sympathize with you wholeheartedly here... that heart-dropping feeling of losing something of value really sucks. But you still have your data in your new portable hard-drive, at least you don't have to start over.
I suggest if you have the space but don’t need to be mobile, go for a desktop. Generally they're faster than laptops, can process more information quicker, they're size allows them to breath more freely over laptops that tend to overheat from high processing programs (video editing) / intense graphics (simulator games), causing motherboards and other components to fail faster. If a part fails on a desktop, it’s usually a DIY job that you can easily swap and won't burn a hole in your wallet. Laptops have most of there components integrated into the motherboard rendering its repair price high enough to just buy a new laptop. ON THE OTHER HAND... If you’re not going to keep it long and want the coolest, shiniest toy (that's never going to leave your house after you buy it), go for the laptop. Still, a desktop is better.
I really do hope you can get your laptop back in running order. GL!
