How about a manticore?

I kinda had a weird idea for interspecies mating more than 25 years ago...
It involved weird combinations of animals, that would just sound awesome because they have similar sounding names like:

A monkey mating with a donkey.
A tortoise mating with a porpoise.
A porcupine mating with a pachyderm.

Then there is a german expression: "Eierlegende Wollmilchsau". It usually means someone or something who/that can provide for all needs. Literally it would be an oviparous (egg-laying) wooly sow that also gives milk. Sometimes I tried to imagine such a beast and their heritage.

And sometimes I wondered how you may combine (in a fictional setting of course) different species attributes. Like to get a fluffy frog. You'd have to have have something fluffy to mate with a frog. But here is, where things get complicated. Frogs fertilise eggs as they are being laid, externally. But fluffy things usually fertilize their mates eggs internally. How would that work? But yeah, you already said you prefer mammals, so that would be obviously not a good option.

Lastly, I'd be rather curious what you'd get when you mate rabbits with (preferably red) squirrels, as well as what you'd get when you made a (still preferably red) squirrel with a lynx.

I don't know if your still looking for idea's for species but what about a house cat and wolf hybrid, or a snow leopard and panther hybrid, or maybe even a cheetah and squirrel hybrid
