I heard about this along time ago but didn't know much of the details of it due to lack of resources I had back then but now this podcast explained it well.

That's really interesting! I always wondered why Marsupilami just disappeared.
They may have been Disney character add-ons but Maurice is still my favorite cartoon gorilla character, and Stewie the hypochondriac elephant was adorable.
