What do you do/ or how to manage sciatica pain (If you have it) so you can work longer and get stuff done
I ask because in December, I started going to the gym. I...did something to my lower back and since then it had been impossible to sit in my chair for longer then 2-4 hours. Someday I can't even sit, or I can only do so for like 30 minutes.
Its all in my left side. My lower back will start to get sore and my butt, thigh and calf will tingle. Its not super painful (usually) but it is soooo uncomfortable. Sometimes even laying down is uncomfortable. I have tried taking pain medication, putting extra cushions on my chair, heat pads. But nothing seems to really help.
Any suggestions would be helpful, as I can't go to the doctor. My insurance changes in march and then I can make an appointment and see her about this. But until then I need suggestions. This issue has impacted my work flow and is one of the primary reasons I've been so slow.

Stretches also make a big difference. I do these a lot. Here is a great resource: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX-QI4wRpiE
KT Tape also works wonders on this kind of stuff. You can find videos on how to apply it all over the internet. It helps the body heal, but won't be a long-term solution.
Going for walks when taking breaks is good. This is why it is great having a dog, they get you out often ^__^
Finally, you could consider a standing desk. This would certainly help with pain developed from long-term sitting activities.
Hope this helps! :3
I hope at some point a can get a new chair. The one I have is terrible. Are there any chairs you suggest? I was thinking a gaming chair. I wonder if they have have the tilt like you suggested.
You want something that has strong lumbar support (looks like it has something that pushes out your lower back) or that has a tilting seat (so you can rock it forward). I bought a used Steelcase Leap Chair. They're amazing for working all day, but not worth the full price. A gaming chair is more value for money when going full price!
Best place to buy top-notch office chairs that are used:
