Sometimes it depends on timing, luck and advertising. Pay around with advertising around different times to get others attention. Sometimes just completing more art trades can make a big impact too. I know I always feel more comfortable with art trades when I see the person I'm interested has finished many in the past. Building ones reputation always helps.

You already have been advertising for it, if you work on the ones you have, and continue to post, more will come over time.

(You could always cold call too, go to other profiles that are open to trade and ask if they are interested in trading with you. Most artists won't bite.)

Art trades are indeed a good way to do it. For most of my trades i use other media's other than FA. That or i luck into them. Most of the trades here on FA were due to people i follow advertising they were up for trading through journal. I'd ask for a trade, but I'm currently out of the country and wouldn't even be able to start it for another several days.

The main location i go for at trades and other activities is called Artfight. There is a discord community that is all about art, artists, trading and practice. People there are always really nice and skill levels on there vary. They also have a large event every July where its a free-for-all art trade with all members. Though honestly the community is quite active outside that event. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is just starting off or just wanting to practice and work on their own skills.
